 First Lady to attend Makerere’s 73rd graduation this week.

First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni is expected to grace Makerere University’s 73rd graduation next week as the guest of honour.
Mrs Museveni will attend the first of the week-long ceremony that will start on Monday, February 13, 2023, at the university’s main campus in Kampala.
The event is expected to be presided over by Makerere chancellor Prof. Ezra Suruma and will see 340 students graduate with first-class degrees.
The colleges and schools slated to graduate students include those of health sciences, natural sciences, law, agricultural and environmental sciences, education and external studies, business and management sciences and computing and information sciences.
Others are veterinary medicine, animal resources and bio-security, engineering, design, art and technology, humanities and social sciences and makerere university business school.
According to the programme released by the university today (February 11), three colleges including that of natural science, health science and the School of Law will graduate on Monday.
Tuesday will have the colleges of education and agriculture and environmental sciences, while that of business and management sciences; computing and information sciences and veterinary medicine, animal resources and biosafety will graduate on Wednesday.
Makerere Business School will graduate on Thursday while the colleges of engineering, design, art and technology and college of humanities and social sciences will conclude the event on Friday.
This year’s graduation is the second physical graduation ceremony the university is holding after the COVID-19 disruption that saw education institutions conduct their ceremonies virtually.
