Airtel commissons telcom mast amidst protest from lc one chairman

In its campaign to further enhance customer experience and service delivery, Airtel Uganda has today launched a mast at Kigunga trading center Mukono municipality, in the drive dubbed VAST NETWORK, which was also launched officially launched.
The Kigunga mast is another step in Airtel Uganda’s journey to provide excellent telecommunications services across Uganda a journey that has seen the Uganda’s communication giant set up over 2,000 sites and lay over 3,900 kilometers of fiber across Uganda covering 95.9% population, making it possible for customers around the country to enjoy an improved experience in internet-based activities.
“With better connectivity, communities will be able to improve their lives through trade, education and commerce, and enjoy the full offerings of Airtel Uganda’s reliable network.” the airtel Uganda network dirctor Mr. Rajesh Agrawal noted.
However, the Kigunga LC 1 chairman Wangula Steven, protested the newly lauched airtel mast, saiying that the community was not clearly informed on the side effects this mast, because it is was installed in between the trading centre, airtel did not come out to resolve this issue.
Ali Balunywa the in charge of sales and distribution at airtel, said that they have seriously noted the the community’s concern and it will be resolved.
