Uganda has donated relief items to earthquake victims in Turkey.

Uganda has sent 13 tons of aid to Turkey, which recently experienced two earthquakes.
“This morning we sent via Turkish Airlines, 13 tons of in-kind aid, including 750 mattresses and 550 blankets donated by our Ugandan friends for the victims of the earthquake. On behalf of the Turkish people, we thank our Ugandan sisters and brothers,” the Turkish Embassy in Kampala said in a statement.
The Turkish ambassador to Uganda, Mehmet Fatih Ak, revealed that the Indian community in Uganda was crucial in the mobilization of the aid materials.
He thanked Turkish Airlines for making it possible for the aid to be delivered, as well as the Ugandan people for understanding the suffering of the Turkish people and providing crucial assistance to those who had survived one of Turkey’s deadliest disasters.
Last month, Turkey experienced six quakes that killed over 45,000 people.
