‘Uganda Currently Has 329 COVID-19 Cases’ -Ministry Of Health Announces

Officials from the Ministry of Health have announced  that Uganda’s current confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases stand at 329, after 12 new cases were discovered on Friday.

According to Health Ministry officials, information released on Friday, 29 May, 2020, indicates that 12 new COVID-19 cases were, confirmed hence raising the number from 317 to 329.

The Ministry revealed that of the new 12  registered infections, 5 new cases are truck drivers who arrived from South Sudan via Elegu, while 7 cases are contacts to previously confirmed cases. All were under quarantine at the time of test. Samples from Points of Entry tested: 1,492. Samples from alerts and contacts: 436

Total samples tested today: 1,928”

The good news however is that Uganda has so registered 72 recoveries with no single death, meaning that  government of Uganda, through the National COVID-19 Response Task Force, is successfully fighting the battle against the spread of the Pandemic.
