E.C Clears Supporters Of Museveni, Gen. Tumukunde For Nomination

The supporters who have been cleared so far by the E.C are those of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), Gen. Parliamentary Candidates to miss out due to high Nomination Fee

Candidates in Uganda's upcoming parliamentary elections have until Thursday to pay a nomination fee of a little more than $800 to the Electoral Commission. However, some don't have the money, forcing political parties to appeal for support on social media. Overwhelmed: E.C Postpones Nomination Dates Due To Huge Number Of Aspirants

Uganda Electoral Commission picks Smartmatic for biometric voter verification kits Smartmatic has been evaluated as the best bidder for providing biometric voter verification equipment for the 2021 election with its bid of Sh82.8 billion (US$22.4 million).
