Museveni Gives URA’s Akol, Finance’s Kasaija Directives On Digital Stamps
President Yoweri Museveni has issued stern directives to the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Commissioner General Dorris Akol and Matia Kasaija, the minister for Finance, to make sure that the country starts implementing the usage of Digital StampsMuseveni.According to a letter written by President Museveni on November 18th, 2019, he directs Kasaija and Akol to ensure that all factories and companies in Uganda must ensure that they grant permission to SICPA, the firm that is to operationalize digital stamps taxation, access to their premises, such that they can install cameras that will assist in the usage of Digital Stamps.In his letter, Museveni wrote thus;"I am writing to you in connection with the digital stamps provider, SICPA.
