Brig. Gen. Balikuddembe Hands Over Office To New Commander Gen. Biryabarema

The Uganda Peoples Defence Forces (UPDF) 1st infantry Division commander Maj. Gen. Samuel Kawagga on Wednesday presided over the hand over/take over of the office of the 1st Division second in command between Brig Gen. Joseph M Balikuddembe aka Dembe and Brig. Gen. Julius Biryabarema.
While presiding over the function, Maj. Gen. Kawagga said he was happy that Gen. Dembe had successfully completed his tour of duty in the Alpha Divsion without any scandal despite working in a politically charged and crime prone area.
