Six arrested for murder in Buhweju.
The Police in Buhweju district have arrested six people in connection with the murder of a 30 year Old Man.
The deceased has been identified as Prosper Beinomugisha, a resident of Karengyezo cell, Nyakaziba ward, Nyakaziba Town council in Buhweju district.
The suspects are Abel Abaho, Patrick Akandwanaho, Joseph Aliza Joseph, Andrew Kakuru, Collins Mubangizi all from Rukiri parish in Bihanga Subcounty and Ambrose Beingana, a businessman from Karengyezo cell, Nyakaziba ward in Nyakaziba Town council, Buhweju district.
It is alleged that on March 5, 2023, at around 9Pm, Bihanga Police station received a report of murder to the prejudice of Beinomugisha who is alleged to have been stabbed to death by unknown people.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased was last seen in Beingana’s bar where he was engaged in a quarrel with some local residents and only to be discovered dead the next morning.
The Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson SP Martial Tumusiime said the crime scene was visited by the district and local area Police who documented the scene as required.
The Body of the deceased was taken to Nsiika sub – district Health Center IV for postmortem where results proved that it was murder by stabbing.
SP Tumusiime said the 6 suspects are part of those who were quarrelling with the deceased and the bar owner. These were arrested to help in Police inquiries.
