The police in Kampala are investigating allegations that two People Power movement supporters were on Tuesday abducted by armed men who bundled them into a van and whisked them to a yet to be identified detention centre.
The news was spread People Power spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, who posted on social media thus; “This tinted van Reg no. UAR 003K has just set off from Kawempe Police Station with Denis Senono (DenCity) and Anthony Twinomujuni(Bobi Young).

They were handcuffed and their legs chained too. Police and goons with sticks working with police chased away our lawyers as DenCity and Bobi Young were put in the van, and driven at breakneck speed to an unknown destination.

Police and security organs should stop behaving like terrorists, if you think someone has committed an offence, take them to court and allow them access to their lawyers.”

However, by the time of filing this story, the police had not yet issued a statement about why Senono and Twinomujuni had been arrested and where they are currently detained. But information from our sources indicates that the two are staunch Bobi Wine supporters who have been coordinating People Power activities in Kawempe division.
