
Namilyango College Celebrates Gold Trophies Won in FEASSA in Tanzania.
Namilyango college students who are the champions of Rugby and lawn tennis in the Federation of East African Secondary Schools sports association FEASSSA, today presented their two gold trophies to the school authorities at the school campus.
Namilyango is one of 35 schools from Uganda that participated in Arusha, Tanzania and finished in the finals in rugby and lawn tennis, Namilyango College won over Kenya’s Elerai (27-03), Kings College Buddo (24-03) and 14-00 against Makerere College to take gold in Rugby 15s at the 2022 FEASSSA Games.
Rugby captain Nasiima Erick and fellow lawn tennis captain Bbuye Alvin handed over their gold trophies to the head teacher who later handed them over to the chairman of the governing body of Namilyango College.
At the event the Namilyango College old boys association donated a sports assortment to the school as a sign of appreciation to the lads as well as receiving certificates from the school administration.
After handing over the trophies to the school administration, rugby team Captain Eric Nasiima and his lawn tennis counterpart Bbuye Alvin both attributed their success to good preparation and special character amongst themselves at the pitch.
Constantine Ssajjabi the head teacher Namilyango applauded his boys for making the school and Uganda proud he pledged the schools’ continued support to keep the school on top by providing the students with a variety of sporting activities at school.
