Kampala, Uganda – 28th January 2020 – Preparations for Phaneroo Ministries International’s mega crusade in Gulu are in high gear as the date draws nearer.
The three-day event shall be held at the Kaunda sports grounds from the 31st January to 2nd February 2020 starting at 3:00pm daily. In addition to the crusade, the ministry also plans to hold a Pastors’ conference on Saturday, 1st February starting at 8:00am.
This power-packed event shall be led by the General Overseer of the ministry, Apostle Grace Lubega, and is expected to draw tens of thousands of congregants from all corners of Northern region, other parts of Uganda and even from outside the country.
According to the organisers of the crusade, preparations have been going on since the back-end of last year.
However, over the last two weeks mobilization has been ramped up with hundreds of youthful followers of the ministry having camped in Gulu. The visibly excited and exuberant youthful mobilisers, in their distinctive ministry-branded high-visibility jackets and T-shirts, have been a joyful sight to behold for the locals who have reciprocated with typical friendliness, cheerfulness and love.
According to the locals, it is common sight to find these mobilisers dancing energetically, in praise and worship of a God they clearly know, as they go about their activities with admirable liberty.
Matthew Takatamoe currently camped in Gulu acknowledged the warmth of the locals and more so their hunger for the Word of God. He hastened to add that the locals often join in the dancing and evangelism wherever they go. In fact, many have and continue to give their life to Christ during evangelism.
In addition to the on-going mass mobilization, the ministry also conducted a clean-up of the Gulu main market on the 24th January and held various sports activities—basketball and football matches—on the 25th January at Kaunda grounds and Pece War Memorial Stadium respectively.
These charitable events and the evangelism have not only been well received, they have stirred up anticipation and stoked the flames of expectation for what many believe shall be an event for the ages. God does not gather men and He does nothing: we expect thousands to receive salvation, miracles, signs and wonders, said a female mobiliser.
Phaneroo is a dynamic Christian ministry with a vision to transform the world with the power of the gospel. We believe in the inherent ability of the Word of God to change individuals and nations with the ultimate purpose of establishing God’s purpose on the earth. This crusade is being organised with support and involvement of Gulu Pastors.
