Caretaker boss Freddie Ljungberg urges Arsenal board to finally appoint a permanent manager

Freddie Ljungberg has pleaded with the Arsenal board to finally appoint a permanent manager after another humiliating day at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were blown away by champions Manchester City, who stormed into a 3-0 half-time lead but could have scored at least three more during another bitterly disappointing afternoon for Arsenal – who have now gone six games without a home win.

From his five games in interim charge, Ljungberg has tasted victory just once – in last Monday’s 3-1 win at West Ham.
