Police in Sheema district are investigating circumstances under which a pit-latrine collapsed on a Senior Six Candidate at Kitagata Secondary School a few hours to his Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) exams. The deceased was identified as Caption Rwamamanzi, 23, a Senior Six student with a subject combination of Physics, Economics, Mathematics, and Information Computer Technology (ICT) at Kitagata SSS in Kitagata Town Council, Sheema District. The deceased went missing on Sunday, November 12, as Senior Six Candidates prepared for the National examinations on Monday. Man kills 19-year-old girlfriend.

Police in Mityana district have arrested two suspects linked to the murder of Nakamatte Jesca, a 19-year-old resident of Kitavujja village, Sekanyonyi town council, Mityana district. The arrested individuals are Muwonge Joseph, 25 years old and identified as the husband of the deceased, and Lwanga Simon, a witch doctor. Muwonge was taken into custody on Monday following a tip-off from residents, leading the police to a shrine owned by Lwanga. The discovery of Nakamatte Jesca’s decomposing body was reported to the police on November 7.
