The Police at Old Kampala is currently investigating an incident that occurred in Masiro Zone 3 of Nakulabye Parish, Rubaga Division. The incident was reported today at 06:46 by concerned members of the public, specifically boda boda riders, who suspect it to be a case of murder by hanging involving an unidentified male adult in his early 30s, the body was found hanging on the tree and both hands tied together. The unknown man in his 20s has been murdered in Sheema district for stealing cabbages. The incident happened in Mailo cell, Kyempisi West ward, Shuuku in Sheema district on 6th June 2023 at around 11am. The deceased was wearing a blue short and black T-shirt with one missing tooth in his upper jaw. On 6th June at around 8am, the deceased went to St Paul’s High School and stole cabbages from the school garden but was followed by the school watchman who arrested him on his way to town where he wanted to sell them. The Police in Kibaale district have arrested a 46- year old man for allegedly defiling a 4-year-girl, daughter to his wife Madalena Katusiime in Kyamaryante-Birongo village, Matale Sub County in Kibaale district. The suspect has been identified as Silver Tulyamureba alias Kyooma of Birongo in Matale Sub County who allegedly defiled his step daughter after learning that his wife had gone to attend to her garden. Former Rubaga South Member of Parliament, Kato Lubwama, has passed away. Lubwama died in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Stana Medical Centre in Bunamwaya at the age of 52. According to reports, Lubwama succumbed to complications arising from a long-standing heart condition. Lubwama initially gained prominence in the 1990s as an actor and playwright.
