Former Buganda Prime Minister John Baptist Walusimbi has sued a money lending company and an estate administrator seeking more than Shs471m as damages for unjust enrichment.In a case filed before the Commercial Division of the High Court, Eng Walusimbi, accuses R. L. Jain Limited and Mr Rajnish Jain, the administrator of estate of the late R. L. Jain of seeking to defraud him with an illegal loan of Shs5b. Acting through J Byamukama and Co Advocates, Eng Walusimbi faults the accused for unjust enrichment, breach of mortgage agreements

There are rumours that has been making turns on different social media platforms indicating that former Electoral Commission chairman Eng Badru Kiggundu is dead. It is being alleged that Mr Kiggundu died of COVID-19 at Case Clinic in Kampala where he was reportedly admitted a few days ago. However, Kiggundu trashed the rumours and warned the public against spreading fake death news about him saying that he is well. “Disregard all those fake news iam very fine and heathy."  Kiggundu said.

At least over 17 Covid-19 patients are reported to have died at Mulago National Referral Hospital on Tuesday night after the facility’s oxygen supply malfunctioned, highly-placed sources said.Officials were reluctant to discuss the matter which, if true, presents the biggest single-day Covid-19 death reported at the country’s largest Covid-19 treatment centre since the outbreak of the disease in the country in March 2020.Senior Mulago Hospital staff, speaking on condition of anonymity due to sensitivity of the matter, said 18 bodies had by 2pm yesterday been handed over to families for burial.  Some insiders said that oxygen supply to the Intensive Care Unit and High Dependency Unit failed at night while the other revealed, one corroborated by officials, is that the oxygen supply ...
