Arch. Bishop Lwanga Condemns Police Killings As Death Toll Climbs To 37

By Our Reporter The Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, has condemned the recent killings across the country as security officers battled supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential contender Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Dr. Lwanga, who was presiding over mass at Rubaga Cathedral, urged the government to value life for more peace and stability of the country. His remarks came at a time when the number of people who were killed during the ‘Free Bobi Wine’ protests has since risen to 37, according to the police, with several hundreds others nursing wounds.  President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has told Ugandans next year’s local council, parliamentary and presidential elections will not be postponed despite increasing Covid19 cases and deaths.
