By Elite Reporter Authorities in Sudan have started interrogating former president Omar Al-Bashir's family members over illegal accumulation of wealth during the time he was in power. On Friday morning, Bashir's second wife, Widad Babiker, was summoned for questioning over possession of land and bank accounts, Arabic-language website Baj News reported. Mrs Babiker, who has been under house arrest since the ousting of her husband on 11 April, who was taken to the prosecution office on Thursday. Anite had been accused by an anonymous complainant of allegedly secretly meeting officials from Mauritius, with intent to influence government to sell UTL to them, probably for kickbacks after the deal. In a televised statement, a ministry spokesman said "a substantial number of terrorists were neutralised" in Tuesday's attack which also left 12 military personnel wounded and others missing.
