Ex-Sudan President Omar Bashir’s Wife Arrested, Quizzed Over Illegal Wealth Accumulation

By Elite Reporter Authorities in Sudan have started interrogating former president Omar Al-Bashir's family members over illegal accumulation of wealth during the time he was in power. On Friday morning, Bashir's second wife, Widad Babiker, was summoned for questioning over possession of land and bank accounts, Arabic-language website Baj News reported. Mrs Babiker, who has been under house arrest since the ousting of her husband on 11 April, who was taken to the prosecution office on Thursday. 71 Soldiers Dead After Terrorist Attack On Military Base

By Elite Reporter At least 71 Nigerien soldiers were killed in an attack on a military camp in the west of the country, according to the defence ministry. In a televised statement, a ministry spokesman said "a substantial number of terrorists were neutralised" in Tuesday's attack which also left 12 military personnel wounded and others missing. President Mahamadou Issoufou cut short a trip to Egypt to return home following the "tragedy" that took place at the base in Inates, near the border with Mali, the presidency said on Twitter.
